Hamirpur (HP), Oct 17 (UNI) The district administration has designated locations for the sale and storage of firecrackers to prevent fire incidents during the festive season in all major markets and crowded areas.
Issuing a notification, District Magistrate Amarjeet Singh stated that there should be no more than 50 shops in a cluster at these locations.
The Magistrate said that strict action will be taken against those who violate this order. In view of the heavy crowds expected in Hamirpur's main market for Diwali, the DM has issued an order completely banning all vehicular movement from the Soharu Complex at Gandhi Chowk to the vegetable market from October 17 to 20.
This order will not apply to ambulances, fire brigade vehicles, police vehicles on duty, milk, cooking gas, and garbage collection vehicles.
